CALL FOR SESSIONS Printable version
Purpose: sessions that link and leverage relationships to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship to build Ohio's rich media industry. We encourage presentation of new and disruptive research, models and projects. Sessions are open, highly interactive and encouraged to identify next steps, transformative initiatives and new business development.
Please consider the following criteria:
1. Conference topics
A. Education
B. Workforce Development
C. Modeling and Simulation
D. Social Software Technologies
E. Digital Media Communications
2. Cross-cutting themes
A. Collaborative leadership
B. Social Networks
C. Strategic Doing
3. Sessions will be one to two hours in length
4. Session formats
- Keynote lectures by prominent researchers and professionals which complemented the thematic plenary sessions
- Plenary sessions on subjects such as curriculum standards in education and workforce development
- Thematic sessions with paper presentations and discussions
- Open Conversations focus on one starting topic and move in the direction of opportunities the participants wish to explore
- Panel debates which discuss the issues raised within the plenary sessions
- Invited sessions arranged and convened by or for a number of regional organizations
- Highlights (a distinguished personality from politics, culture or science summarizing the findings and impressions of the day from his or her particular perspective)
- Exhibitions for agencies institutions and companies wishing to present their activities and products
Depending upon number of session times available, number of conference presenters and number of attendees, the selection committee will help to guide the final format of your session. Please include any additional panelists or team members available to participant in your session.
Examples of Defrag Ohio presenters could include: business and civic leaders, serious and entertainment game designers, web designers, programmers, urban planners, economic development professionals, health care providers, educators, computer and technology specialists, investors and government officials.
Deadline for Session submission: Monday, March 26, 2007.All sessions will be confirmed by Monday, April 2, 2007
